Scale of the Universe

Just saw this on another forum and thought it was worth sharing. It's similar to those series of pictures showing the relative scale of our sun and the planets in the solar system compared to some of the well known stars. Except in this case it's interactive and allows you to see right down to the frabic of space and time (in theory) all the way up to the outer edge universe (as we estimate it to be).

I hope I explained that right (some of it is beyond me I must admit).

Personally, I found the must interesting part of it to be when you scroll from the smallest objects in our solar system right through the planets, other stars, nebulaes, galaxies it's just amazing. Really helps to get somewhat of a grip on the relative size of the objects in our night sky without being overwhelmed by numbers which can become meaningless at times.

Enjoy!
