No I made 330 mirrors there in the period 1985 to 1988, then joined the CSIRO Optical Workshops at Division of Applied Physics for 10 years.

That tube assembly uses Royal componants like the spider with rod type vanes. I would suggest the tube goes back to the sixties when Amateur Astronomers Supply Co as it was called up to 1977 did not make their own spiders then and used Royal ( Japanese) focusers on their tubes . In the seventies they switched to Unitron focussers and then Vixen by the mid 80's.

The funny looking off axis guider thing dates to the mid to late seventies.

I would guess that the fork mounting was not the original mount for the tube and if it is genuinly F7 then the mirror probably is 1960's . Its a mish mash of components. As far as I know they never offered 10" F7 mirrors on the Hall mounts.
