- with that extra length you must be up to almost 3x. If you wanted to work out exactly what you're getting from your barlow now take a look at the article link attached below - i used this to work out what I was getting by using extension tube and/or star diagonal between barlow and webcam. The maths gets a bit heady (for me) but muddled through it. You need to work out your barlow's focal length by playing aroun with focussing light from it onto some card.
