Yep finally got to complete this image too and I was really looking forward to finishing this one
. The data was pretty good although the seeing was very average so lots of work on getting the detail out of the very subtle galaxies particularly the subtle billowing streamer and shell galaxy NGC 1316.
Love this galaxy actually it is rather similar to some of the
tidal mess galaxies posted recently, you can make out several shells in the deffuse halo, a bit like in Centaurus A..?

Yes, I know, a little bit of field rotation visible top right in the close up crop but I hope it doesn't detract from the overall vista of this strange but magnificent galaxy interaction
