Do you mean vibration from the mirror, in any case I dont think the remote will stop that its inherant in the camera. The remote is used to stop movement caused by pressing the shutter release with fat fingers.

On some cameras (Pentax for example) with the 2s timer the mirror locks up first then the 2sec countdown starts, this is designed to minimize vibrations caused by the mirror.
