Did you use a flat field on your canon shot? Or a dark subtraction. I don't know if its my imagination but there looks to be a smudge along the bottom left edge. Could the artifacts be from dust or marks on the image train somewhere or the could the "spots" near the center of the image be from a dark subtraction (if you did one)
