good to see some shots from you malcolm. .. fixed tripod 'eh.. not bad. If you have photoshop the next improvement would be to flatten the gradient in the images, make the background more uniform. If you can work out how to do that (with or without photoshop) I think you'll find you can significantly expand your opportunities with the fixed tripod. Happy to help with with techniques if you have photoshop.
