Can you share what sort of exposures you were using? Did you take all of these images in RAW or as JPEGs? (I've been thinking through the logistics of such time-lapses and given the number of images and that it will be viewed on a video screen would mean lowish res JPEGs would be appropriate)

everything in raw plus jpeg - though i have done this is jpegs but left it open to reprocess and redo in raws. the astrotrac shots were 60 or 70 second shots at iso 1600 with a 10mm fisheye lens. may view is that if its high quality to start with it helps big time - allows for a bit of flexability. but if its too low res then you cant make it better
16 gig card and just go for it - i have 4 x 8 gig cards and a 16 gig card
