Thanks for the comments.. I agree, I love doing timelapses and Star trails are a simple form of Astrophotography that anyone with a camera (even P&S) can do.. The star trail timelapse was an experiment, but worked quite well.
My intention that night was not the trails, but to do some wide field long exposure photography, of Comet 103P. Unfortunately the star tracking mount I made decided it would be a good time to go too fast, so every exposure was trailed also....
