So you are saying you plugged your new cordless system into another phone socket that does not have a DSL filter?

All phones connected thru a phone socket need a DSL filter (if you have ADSL). You just need to ensure the base station (of the cordless system) is plugged into a DSL filter then into the phone socket and if you are still using the older phone..that must have a DSL filter as well. The cordless handsets do not need filters as they communicate back thru the base unit only.

Ensure any filters are connected the "right way around". Some have qty 2 plugs: One "to the handset" ; the other "to the ADSL modem" (if req'd). Ensure you have connected them correctly.
