Took a 75mm square by 10mm thick block of aluminium and had a mate mill two slots for the pins of the sensor and also mill down about 7mm between the slots. Then mounted the peltier between the slots and press fitted the sensor on top using the plastic lens holder from the toucam. The got a cpu heatsink with fan and roughed out a 50mm square in the middle and metal puttied a galvanised fence post top in the hole. The toucam circuits just fit in it. Drilled some holes in the bottom and glued/bolted a 15 pin vga connector on. Used an old vga cable to a box and split up to lx/amp off and usb cables and a 12v switch/cooling on/off. Then threw in some desicant and screwed/silastic'd it together. Seems to work ok but it's early days.
One thing to note is that the peltier only produces about 1-1.5 watts of heat so there's not much to get rid of.
