Actually, have you tried putting the CaK in the green channel instead of the blue?
I know the CaK is actually blue, but I'm just wondering if its the purple colour that makes it seems strange... put the CaK in the green channel will result in a more yellow image rather than purple.
I'm not sure if its a simple "psychological" effect like that or if it the different detail in the two layers contrasting rather than complementing each other.
But I do appreciate the idea!
