NGC 253 was the first Real looking galaxy I has seen through a large scope(19") at the Bundaberg Observatory Queensland.
I was so blowen away by the view of the galaxy through the eyepiece that I have never forgotten it and it was the catalyst in my drive to get a larger scope 
So forget the Silver Coin and keep to th Original Name.
It is my favourite galaxy and always will be

Funnily enough NGC 253 was the first galaxy I saw too. It was from my light-polluted back yard with a 8" Skywatcher Dob. It looked like a faint smudge, but I was over the Moon because I located and saw my first galaxy!
It surely looked different with 22" from Sea Lake
