I've just been experimenting a bit with black and white processing, using one of the images from Girraween last weekend. This is predominantly the red channel, with some contrast enhancement and then a bit of yellow tint added at the end. (All done using the GIMP)
It's the first time I've really played with this sort of thing, and I think the result is more striking than the RGB version (which can be found
here). I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts about monochrome landscapes and whether this image is a good candidate for this sort of processing.
