At take-Off.

Over the Holidays we had to go to Brisbane to Check Universities for eldest son next year.

My son wanted to go to airport to have a look at aircraft, unfortunately the weather was awful!,I like to have lots of sun for this type of photography.

Anyhow,we did our best. This I feel was my best capture of the day.A Airbus A 330 in Eithad Livery.

I like the "bone white" over the Qantas "stark white".

I wanted to try and capture the airplane and have everything in back ground

running as horizontal as possible,so there is a lot to think about as I do this photography,in a very small time frame.

Trying to get the runways in the fore and background without tilting is a difficult.I think Humayan said there is a simple fix in PP for when he does coast/ocean shots, but I lost the instructions.

I try and do as much 'in camera' as possible,Here I think I got the 'Big city'
feel, with the factory roof horizontal along with taxi-ways.And the smoke stacks from oil refinery vertical. No PP,'As is' out of camera

Speed 2000 F 4.5 ISO 400 in manual mode using 50D with 70-200 F 2.8 non IS at 200 mm.

Thoughts and comments welcome.next time we will try and get a day with blue sky!

Cheers Chris
