Nope...works like a charm. I had it running on the D cells for a whole night...the scopes don't draw too much current, but you're much better off getting a 12V adapter to suit, or if you're away from home a good sized sealed gel battery. The ep's are good. Although a nagler or ethos wouldn't go astray (even if the wallet does!!!
