Thanks for the support guys. I'd be happy if they found it with no damage - certainly would be a lot less hassle than dealing with insurance, trying to find another car etc.
It appears that they tried to steal our other (better) car first - some cracks around the ignition etc. Looks like they failed there and then went to my car where they succeeded.
Certainly makes you worry when you have had people like that so close to your house.
