Yes the 12'' on the EQ6 is really pushing the envelope but with the extra light gathering abilty and F4.9 ratio it enables shorter exposures.
I'm pretty sure these were 4min subs from memory..have to check.
The key to the stability is definately in the Parallax rings, they are just simply superb and so heavy duty, they are well worth the ridiculous price tag i paid for them.
