G'day,

Losmandy GM8 mounts have shipped with saddles that accept D series dovetail plates just like their bigger G11 siblings for years. However, during the mid 1990s the GM8 mount shipped with a different (narrower) saddle that accepted narrower "C" series dovetail plates which are 2.5" wide (narrower than and incompatible with D series dovetail plates).

My second hand Losmandy GM8 mount came to me with a C series saddle and dovetail plate. I have swapped the original saddle for an ADM Accessories DUAL-LOS-SAD saddle which accepts both Losmandy D series and Vixen dovetail plates (a nice piece of kit - highly recommended) and have no further use for the original C series saddle and dovetail plate. If anybody else has a use for this old but functional saddle and dovetail plate you are welcome to it for free provided that you pick it up or pay for postage.
