I have a qhy8 also and it has a tendency to make a green cast to an image when it's first imported. As a simple opener on an image I bring it up about a quarter to a third..... Somewhat less than your second image then do a color balance in the sky background, the blue starsdont quite have the punch for some reason so a quick upper only lift in blue in the curves can give it just more of a tweak, en whip it into maxim for a DD stretch tinkering with the base and middle values til it looks not bad, then to light room for a color tweak... This has some really nice color functions.
This will give me a quick overview of the images potential.
The problem with your first image was a greeny blue cast that particularly washes into the stars, at least to me anyway. I think e expectation is the following, blue stars are really blue in the halo, same for yellow stars thatbseems to be the trend to me, so once defining the star colors the background needs to have a value of 20 ish, and it can have a slight blue tinge, don't rely on your eyes, after staring at a screen for an hour or two imthink you get desensitized, use the eyedropper, this will give you values in rgb that define it exactly. Hopefully if these things are right so is the color of the object.
I think that's enough for now others can tip in if they like
