The clarity of the 3 ovals in the South Polar Region in your image is very good in spite of the less the perfect seeing. You can see 2 of the ovals in my image under the recent thread "Jupiter's White Ovals in South Polar Region using 8" SCT" but they're not as clearly defined as yours. I'm not sure I can get the ovals as clear as yours with an 8" SCT but that will be my goal. I just experimented with a Bahtinov mask and found that my central diffraction spike was dead center between the other two spikes and my collimation is about as perfect as I can make it so I'll keep working to increase the clarity and brightness of my image. Do you remember any of your gain, gamma, exposure time, brightness and hue settings in IC Capture? Did you set the frame rate at 15 or 30 fps?

Thanks,
Peter
