Thanks for taking a peek there Mike!

Yes am very happy with the image train now... think I've sorted the bugs..
Now with the new 2" filters loaded and ready, this weather is really getting me down.... all dressed up and no place to go
Would have liked at least another 3 hours on it, as we know this object has such a low surface brightness... those spiral arms and dust lanes are just screaming for more.... of well...

Guess the only place not affected by our global weather would be on a high desert plateau.. mmm perhaps pack the kit up and set up a tent next to the VLT's on Cerro Paranal..... don't think they'd mind

BTW, congrats with the new scope Mike!
Looks real nice!...
In the past Orion Optics have designed some very nice high performance Newtonians and some of the images I've seen by them are excellent.
They have by what i can tell looked into all the pitfalls and aspects of building high end imaging scopes.... even to the point as I've read via your link of designing their own 'Wynn' type corrector... impressive!
I'm sure this scope will prove to be a winner in your hands my friend...

I guess you'll have to be patient before it arrives... but I'm certainly looking forward to your first light images when it rolls up

All the best
Rich
