Heirlooms eh??

I have a house full of the stuff
Came over from the old country with 15 cubic metres. Many things inherited from parents who had died. The list includes:
100 year old pianola
Victorian chest of drawers, writing desk
beautiful silver embossed decanters
Set of Coalport dinner service
Cut glass vases
Signed letters from BL Montgomery, WSC
etc., etc

Stuff we have bought over here:
Three beautiful d'Arcy Doyle prints of the Jolly swagman
Genuine didgeree doo and digging stick
Various lovely paintings by local Aussie artists.
All lovely things that are "Investments"

We cant help ourselves - I have even bought 4 fabulous Swiss watches.

What will happen to all this stuff when we croak it????
I'll tell you what.....
The lot will be flung into the skip the minute the funeral is over. AAAAGGGGHHHHH youngsters today dont care -an iPod is seen as much more value than a Coalport dinner service - they will just as easily eat off cardboard plates these days.

Anyway, must dash now - it's time for my nightcap - a lovely Cab Sav in my latest purchase - a Waterford Crystal wine glass
