Usually I'll buy several works by/of/from artists. The cost and risk is very low compared to many other forms of investment.
Even if they never appreciate in monetary value, I'll still have some nice art work with which to decorate my house.
If it does appreciate, you'll find yourself with one of the best investments you ever made.
