I've only just done one combined image - 30sec and 450sec images of the Tarantula. I was impressed at how it improved detail of the core, whilst retaining peripheral detail. (The image quality itself was rather poor - hard to get too upset as it was taken through fog at 3am on the second Saturday morning) I found an article on the web that described how to use layers and masks - was actually much easier that I though it was going to be.
Did you process the set of 1 min subs and superimpose them onto the core to create this image? I'm just trying to work out how to have tackle this beast myself.
