Hi Rumples, has to be a pretty good move. I've yet to see any planetary images really exceed what I've seen produced with the 9.25. Wondered whether it's part design and quality and part just that this is the best overall compromise in large aperture without suffering overly much from seeing effects. I'm still vascilating on whether I want to get another scope to play with while the Mewlon's away - could be C11 or 9.25 or maybe a 10 inch newtonian if I could find a slightly longer focal length than the synta stuff.
Anyway best of luck. From what I've heard the re-work, regrease etc on the EQ6 is worth it and gets rid of most residual backlash and a fair bit of PE.
