I received another email from John Sarkissian today saying that the winning photos are on display at the Sydney Observatory now after the travelling exhibition was launched last night:
"Hello all,
Last night, on Friday, 13 August 2010, the CWAS "David Malin Awards"
traveling exhibition was launched at Sydney Observatory in a low-key event
coinciding with their "Lucky Friday planetary spectacular" event.
The manager of Sydney Observatory, Toner Stevenson, welcomed the guests
which included Dr David Malin and his wife, Pillipa, CWAS President, Laurie
Crowley and his wife Margaret, Canon Australia Rep., Alan Brightman and John
Sarkissian from CASS/CWAS.
The members of the public were then invited to view the exhibition.

The exhibition will remain at the Observatory until 6 February 2011 before
travelling to Scienceworks, Melbourne Planetarium.
