Unitron 80mm Spotting Scope

I have for sale a Unitron 80mm Spotting Scope with Unitron wood tripod and alt-az head with slow motion controls. It has the 4-eyepiece 45 degree turret with 20x, 30x 40x and 60x eyepieces. Unfortunately, I do not have the original wood box. I suspect that it would have come with a tripod spreader as well and that is missing.

I recently purchased this from eBay in a fit of nostalgia. It was my first scope in 25 years and it rekindled my interest in astronomy. After using it for a few weeks I decided to buy a proper astronomical scope.

The entire unit is in excellent condition. The objective is clean, with no marks that I can see. There are a few minor internal dust specks as you'd expect. The eyepieces are all clean except for the 40x, which has a couple of spots on the eye lens where the coating has lifted. The tube has no dents or dings and the finish is near perfect. The tripod and head look and work fine, too. There are plastic caps for the objective lens and all eyepieces. Not sure if the caps are original.

It owes me $350 which may have been over enthusiastic bidding - I really don't know what it's worth. It is a nice scope for day use. I reckon the tripod and head would be quite useful as it has a standard camera tripod thread on top. If I had a better day time view here at home, I'd keep the scope.

Asking price is $350 or nearest offer. Payment via bank transfer or Paypal. Reply via PM.

NB: The attached pictures are taken by the person I bought the scope from. I can provide more detailed photos on request.
