Liz, the Veil is getting better the higher it gets, I am loving the 55mm lens, must get me a 2" UHC filter, has it is a bit of a chore holding the 1.25 filters in front of the eyepiece 
Will go out in a little while to have a look at the Moon then pack up for the night.
Comet 10P Tempel is deffinatly getting a bit of a fan tail.

Woohoo, well done Ron!! The weather has been so lousy right up the east coast so excellent for a clear night!! Yes, 2" filter is a must for you.
Hey, did you try the North American Nebula near Deneb? I will have another look this weekend, but was alot fainter, but then I was very quick.
Will check for the comet too!!
