Interestingly, rottentomatoes.com gives it very many good to great reviews. But there was at least one, right at the end, written by someone who expresses my opinion beautifully. If I may quote from that site ...
"It is irritating for an hour, being so gloomily lit that you need fog lights, then it opens up into a marvellously inventive, somewhat silly but enjoyable heist movie, with a good cast doing things I doubt even they could explain. "
That would be pretty accurate imo
