I assume you are talking about the coating not the mirror surface?
The coatings are still very serviceable. There are a couple of small pinholes visible from the back of the mirror when aimed at a light source, but they are not visible from the front of the mirror. The views are still excellent and I think the mirror is still at least 2 years off needing a re coat. The scope is about 9 years old.
