This beautifully illustrated atlas is a photographic guide to all the Messier objects and a large number of the NGC and IC galaxies, nebulae and star clusters over the course of 244 pages. There are also brief descriptions of the main objects along with observatory images.

As per the introduction to the book, “Gathered in one volume are high-quality, wide-field photographic charts showing over 400 galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae. They are presented at a standard scale and surrounded by generously large star fields. Accompanying the charts are much scientific data, introductory essays on various astronomical subjects, and large-scale observatory photos of many of the celestial wonders the charts depict.”

I am the original owner. This hardcover book is in mint condition, and its jacket has very slight wear along some of its edges.

Note that the Vehrenberg Atlas is no longer published. A quick check of online sources in Australia of some used versions are selling for $55.
