Just tested out the Aldi chair sitting at my 8 inch dobsonian telescope. It doesn't quite drop down low enough ... when I point the telescope at the horizon. That can be easily fixed by raising the dobsonian on a sturdy box.
I can see it working well the other way .. ie when observing though my equatorially mounted telescope .. which is much higher.
It seems well made and well worth $25.
