nice to see you're keeping your hand in!
I still like your original, but the repro has a more rich appearance with velvet black back ground.
Both lovely at any rate with great details.
I guess it would come down to those who love inky black BG's with enlivened colours.. (seems to be the trend at the moment) or lighter charcoal BG's with easy on the eye colours
