Planetary imaging with web cams - what's best

I've decided that I have neglected planetry and lunar imaging for too long and plan to correct that now that I have a scope worthy of the attempt. I've finished the installation of a 12.5 inch Dall-Kirkham uncorrected f/20 and have been playing with simple cams on it like a QHY5 (mono) and a ToUCam 900 series. The result are quite extraordinary and I'm seeing an effective x1000-1200 with it. Min-boggling really. Good seeing will be critical of course but assuming I can wait and bide my time for that, I'd be glad to have some help on the right software to do the job.

With the QHY5, the capture software that comes with it lacks any refinements so I'd appreciate any suggestions for a better piece of software for capture of whatever file format is best supported by other software for stacking etc.

Recommendations please!!!

Peter.
