Starry Night Pro Plus 6 is what you need. Pretty pictures as well as the DSS backdrop of the Milky Way is wonderful. The colours of the stars in the application, therefore, reflect what's in the sky, making it easier to find objects, and make out constellations.

I've been using it for the last 5 years and am regrettably going to make the switch over to TheSky because of its integration with CCDSoft. Well, as far as using it for imaging goes, anyway. In general, I'll stick with SNPP6.
