i utlilize the ED80 ontop of my 10" newt, though i use guidescope rings, that is they have 3 screws at 120 deg so i can adjust my field of view to match the field of view for the 10 (makes for easier spotting of the target
). Though they are just attached to the main scope rings, not though a dovetail bar then to the rings
