How rude of us to criticise.
Like you said to me Mike and I place give this advice to others. Don't take it all too seriously. Just because you win or do not win does not mean you are worse or better. David has his likes and they do seem to have a different flavour and as Marcus has stated and I think I said too, this is the David Malin Awards. It is what he likes and nothing more. By all means put trees in your image, or line up your Jupiter's (don't use Saturn as this never gets up) in a fancy way.
Don't worry too much about if you did not get a nod, you all should know your images are far more impressive than five years ago and one should not need a competition to tell yourselves so. The quality of images has leapt in recent years and I put this down to the critque one gets by submitting things on the internet.
Anyway, I hope you all know what I mean.
