While mainly it is about motorisation of dobsonians (however, this software supports eq mounts as well), you will find information on electronic setting circles (made out of old, mechanical serial mice) which this software supports in full.

With something like this, you can couple your scope with star chart programs (like Cartes du Ciel, freeware)
