So you are basically saying that 30 lanterns were released that fit the description of what you saw, and nobody in the area mistakenly identified them as UFO's?

In fact, I ask how you DIDN'T see them considering you spotted them a stone's throw away from where they were released??!!!
A simple explanation of the doubled number is that you counted the same lanterns twice in your adrenaline rushed excitement

My wife spoke to a police officer on the night and she said she saw several of the bright red lights from wises road on her way back to the station . We also experienced difficulty when trying to phone our daughter in Brisbane that night around the same time as the lights were seen . we definitely know it was not lanterns, thank you all for your views especially Ron for putting it out here .
