So if that "extra mass" under India slowly moves they could expect substantial sea level rise minus whatever the land mass rose.
Interesting that the relatively high speed tectonic movement of the Indian plate should coincide with a high gravity bubble.

Not nice to think you live in a "hole in the ocean", especially if you're a bangledeshi already struggling to keep above water.
