Saturn RGB Jupiter RGB & IR+animation GRS oval BA June 28th 2010

Hi All,

Imaged the faded remnant of the SED's related storm on Saturn very early last night. Most of my data was effected by cloud passing through to various degrees although I am quite pleased with my images. I have attached one of my RGB's, it is processed rather heavily to better resolve the storm remnant which is quite extended in longitude and rather faint.

Hit the deck at 3am CST this morning for Jupiter, the GFS charts showed that the jetstream would be effecting me but when I had an initial look outside and saw that there was no cloud at all ( an unusual occurrence of late) I got right in to Jupiter. Imaged in RGB and IR 807nm. Have posted a couple of very nice IR images that show a most interesting collection of white spots just to the west of oval BA and an RGB that also shows this structure. The jetstream kept the seeing pretty ordinary but there were brief periods where it would steady and be reasonable for a while.

Also posted an animation of 4 IR images.

By the way, it was 2.4 C at 3:30am CST in my dome, tropical when compared to Birds -4 C.

Thanks for looking
Regards
Trevor
