You know, I was looking at my reflector today and it occured to me that in fact it is a large microscope, it collects light and using nothing more than a mirror reduces that light to a pinpoint, where we then use a microscope (EP) to interrogate that pinpoint of light.

BTW, I am currently (no pun intended) designing a very cheap and so far effective series of adaptable dew heaters for both my ETX and 8X50 finder scope using a series of ceramic resisters, they working well and extremely low current consuming, I just need to package them so they look tidier, when I do I will publish the plans for them and you can make your own. Total cost for my finder so far is under $5.
