Partial lunar eclipse this Saturday - filters?

Hi all,
I don't expect the weather to play ball this weekend, but on the off chance that I get a glimpse of the Moon during the partial eclipse I'd like to ask a question:

From past experience with partial eclipses it seems that they can range from hardly detectable to quite colourful and distinct. I was wondering whether there are any filters that could/should be used for visual observation that would would enhance the experience for people that are not used to telescopes and observing the the Moon (as in: friends and family).

I have previously never used any filters during lunar eclipses, but I wonder whether I should have. Therefore, if anybody would like to add their 2 cents regarding colour or polarising filters for use on small to medium scopes (up to 8") I would appreciate it very much.

Cheers
Steffen.
