The Kendrick system has eyepiece heater strips (1.25 & 2 inch) as well as secondary mirror heaters for Newtonians.
I did once forget to turn on the dew heater for my 4" refractor and the objective eventually dewed up. I turned the Kendrick unit onto maximum power and the dew was removed in approx 15 mins.
I have also used the heater strips on a 24mm wide angle lens on my 35mm SLR with no dew shield fitted, and the front element stayed dry even when pointing to the zenith on the wettest of nights.
The downside is the expense, the plethora of cables and the need for mains power.
