Here I am trying to balance a smoke, JD and laptop.....biding time 'till the next ......stuff the ciggie too hard....... break in clouds.
Its been like that all night.
Started out at 1600 hrs. Put the mount and scope out to level, south align and cool down. Then got a call from Mum.... 45 min later i was back into it.
I especially went and bought some cut off finger hand warmers today. Bargain !!!! $5.60 at taaarshaaaaeee.
The trial with PHD I did with the webcam and finderscope the other week failed tonight!!! Could not focus or find a star whatsoever. couldnt even focus on the ol' moon with the finder scope and cam.
( I am now trialing out the FTDI usb to serial cable doohickey)
I think I got some good close up shots wit da dslr though!
Then tried to center on some dso's and whatnot...... oh BTW got Stellarium and stell-scope to drive the mount!!!!! which is what I was trying out as well as PHD.
Soon figured out why people on the forums were talking so much about getting a wireless ps controller.

So a wireless a gamepad is on the books !!! Ebay here I come!
Anyway , its cleared up a bit so i'll try ooooooohhhhh lets see..... False Comet me thinks.......
