At the 2000 Olympics, I went to the Archery (I was a keen archer for many years!) and found myself sitting next to Tim Fischer, ex deputy PM who had left the job the year before, who was stting with his wife and young kids. As they had no idea what was going on, I had a pleasant time explaining the intricacies of modern Archery to them.
