I just carried my new 'baby' inside and set it up in the lounge room. It's a 40cm Lightbridge with Argo Navis - and it does dominate the room. I have known for a long time that I needed a larger scope and this model was a good candidate but up to Thursday I had no plans to buy one, in fact I was looking at some L series camera lenses. But this came up and so I acted (and the lens is on hold). I can already see lots of little things to do to improve the scope but I'm hoping for first light tomorrow.
