These objects are well within the reach of the ‘scopes and sensors that many IIS members own and I’m hoping that some one will grab an image of Makemake, as from my location, it disappears behind the neighbours tree line before complete darkness.
I suspect that a 4 inch refractor should be able to record these mag 17 dwarf planets with a few 5 minute exposures?
