You take the road from Mt Somers, it is gravel and really awful the big rocks kept striking up under the car and it is very slidey. This spot is just before you get to the little camp where people have weeknd 'bachs'.
And this is the Hooker Valley one, drive right to the end and park in the DOCs campground area and then walk back a bit and you can get this viewpoint.
